Editorial Standards

Our editorial standards put verification, attribution, context and fairness first. We distinguish reporting from analysis and opinion, avoid presenting speculation as fact, and update stories when verified information changes. Corrections should be brought to our attention through our contact page. Staff assignments and editorial responsibility are shown on our masthead. These principles apply to every contributor.
